SARNZ
Back in 1995 a core group of scaffolding company owners, including Ian, formed Scaffolding & Rigging NZ (SARNZ) as an industry group to provide training, represent the industry, develop standards and improve communication within the Industry.
SARNZ has now been in operation since 1995 and currently its membership is 100+. SARNZ holds an annual two day conference, provides representation on the joint Australian/New Zealand Standards Group, runs a Scaffolder of the Year Award and publishes the ‘Best Practice Guidelines for Scaffolding’.
It is good to see that finally Scaffolding and Rigging is being given the recognition it deserves as a full trade. Scaffolding is a rewarding job given that you need good mental and physical aptitude to provide an access solution. (See the sarnz web site)
